If Web sites had sex...

August 21, 2002 | Comments 0 Comments

Over at Endquote there is some sexy stuff being cooked up! It’s called Tangent and it’s yet another way to connect people out here on the dub dub dub.

From the Tangent FAQs:

Tangent is a centralized web service that takes the content from your web site and sends it back to you all linked up to other sites in the network. If web sites had sex, Tangent would be how they’d do it.

If your site likes to get around, it can link to everyone and everything. But if you don’t want it to have sex with just any web site, you can set up a list of rules for which sites you’ll link to. For example, you can link only to sites in Europe, or only to sites not in Europe, or only to sites in Europe but not in France, unless the author likes shoes and cheddar cheese, in which case link to them even if they’re in South America. Maybe your site only gets it on with a few people at a time, so you can link only to those specific sites. You can even link only to yourself, which mirrors the sex life of some site authors pretty accurately.

The easiest way to explain it is to see it in action. Check out Endquote and BabesInBoyland to see how these two sites get it on.

It’s not quite ready for action, but sounds fun huh?

Who wants to get it on!?!?
