Fonts and the Golden Mean.

September 20, 2002 | Comments 0 Comments

Found a couple of nice things over at xBlog today. (Well, to be honest there were more than a couple, but I’m only going to talk about two - you can peep the rest yourself.)

The fist was a link to Fontscape, a really great font finding tool. It’s a directory of fonts from a hundred publishers all organized into logical catagories for easy searching.

The next was a little presentation on the Golden Mean (it’ll resize your browser so don’t be alarmed) - it’s quite nice. I did my first ever Flash (well, truthfully it was “FutureSplash”) piece based on the Golden Mean. I got the idea from watching Looney Toons - but that is another story. Wish I had that somewhere, it was actually pretty cool, and it helped me land my first “real” job - way back in the day.

Golden Mean = Piles of Green?
