This thread is too funny. Choate makes some good points, Zeldmanites come to the rescue and there is even a bit of talk about vanity photos.
Like I said. They make for some great entertainment.
All in all - it’s a thread that is more funny than anything else.

When I made my comment, I hadn’t even realized that Zeldman also replied. I think Zeldman is great as am advocate but I’ve never been a huge fan of his design decisions. I don’t let that affect my view of him though.

I agree. I don’t even really view Zeldman as a “designer”, really, more of a generalist. And anyway - if you look hard enough, you can find things wrong with almost every site. I mean, I love the design of k10k, for instance, but I hate how long it takes to load.
With Zeldman and the like, it’s the content that really matters.
