I guess Web standards are a recurring theme today.

An Interview With Douglas Bowman of Wired News.

Wow. This is very, very interesting. Douglas talks about the challenges, advantages and lessons learned from the Web standards redesign of the Wired News site. It’s so nice to read this, having come across many (if not all) of the same questions, problems, etc. that he encountered.
