As some of you may remember at some point a few months ago a friend of mine told me of a rumor about how Jeffrey Zeldman was really Eric Meyer. No not the real estate agent, the CSS guru guy. Well we were able to sort that one out, but it’s come to my attention that there are those out there in cyberspace that have been mistaking me for The Condor - Mike Metzger.

You see, awhile back I’d made the above post and now it’s showing up rather high when you do a Google search for “Mike Metzger”. I’m sure I’m not helping anything by doing another post that makes reference to Mike Metzger - I just can’t help myself. I find it all rather funny.

But seriously kids. I’m not Mike Metzger, however I am a big fan of his and a helpful sort of guy so I’ll point you in the right direction. You can find Mike Metzger over at Metzger Motorsports.

This is one thing I love as well as hate about the Web. On the one hand this kind of thing can be very frustrating when you are trying to find some information or whatever. But on the other it adds to the social, explorative and kinda fun nature of the Web. I look at it like eavesdropping on a conversation at a party, then jumping in before you’re really sure what is being talked about.

For example I offer up a possible conversation between Billy and Marty:

Billy: Did you say SOAP? I’ve been really wanting someone to explain all of that to me, that Web services stuff is baffling.

Marty: No, man, we were talking Fight Club, you know the whole soap salesman thing?

Billy: Oh yeah! I love that movie, Edward Norton was great. You going to see Red Dragon?

Marty: You know it! Hey did you know Red Dragon is a remake of sorts, there was a movie back in the 80’s called Manhunter. It was based off the book, Red Dragon. It was actually really good.

Billy: No way. I didn’t know that

Marty: Well, now you do.

Billy: Wow. Learn something ever day.

Which brings me to my point. I can’t wait until Tangent is finished so we can start linking words to other words, across sites, that may or may not have anything to do with each other. Fun stuff.
