NYC Dream.

October 16, 2002 | Comments 2 Comments

I had a wonderful dream the other morning, I had intended to tell y’all about it sooner, but just haven’t had time. Luckily it was very vivid and I have a remarkable recollection of it in my mind.

It starts out with me coming out of a subway tunnel in New York. It’s a bit dark, and there aren’t many people around. I’m in an area much like the financial district, maybe down by Madison Square Garden. I begin to walk and as I do the landscape goes through some remarkable changes. People begin to appear on the streets, and the sun begins to rise in the sky. Soon I’m walking though the city on a beautiful summer day and every person I can see has a smile and a wave. I’m walking down hill - imagine if New York was build on a slant - so I can see the whole city laid out before me. Off in the distance, beyond magnificent buildings and broad parkways is the ocean, it’s a deep, deep blue and almost blends with the sky. At some point I begin to elevate, rising high up into the clear blue sky and I can see all the people and the beauty of the city before me as I glide down toward the sea. Thinking this is what Heaven must be like I fly higher and higher and then slowly drift back down - taking it all in and realizing that it’s all a dream at the same time. At some point I wake up totally refreshed and with a huge smile on my face for the rest of the day.

Wish I could dream like that every night.
