Powerbook and OSX update.

October 14, 2002 | Comments 0 Comments

So I was able to get in there and start using the Powerbook a bit more this weekend. I bought a reference book on OSX and got to work.

I’m actually quite amazed at how quickly I was weened off my PC. I still use it for a few things, but that is just because I haven’t had time to get the Apache server set up on the Mac and get my site pulled down. Once I have that done, I imagine my PC will be about done with.

So far I’ve got to say I love iTunes and Omnigraffle. Two great programs that came installed and I’ve been using quite a bit. Those two alone were better than anything that came installed when I bought my Dell - dude. I can see using Omnigraffle quite a bit - I wish I had it here at work.

So - to sum up my experience with the switch so far, I’m really impressed and could not be happier. With the exception of the lone stuck pixel - which I can hardly notice - and some configuration issues with a few apps, it’s been totally awesome. Everything just seems to work, with out a whole lot of work.

I can’t wait to hook the Elura up to this baby! Whoo!
