eMac on the job...

So we got an eMac down at work, yippie, and it looks like the designs I’ve been slaving away at for the last few weeks all look great, with only minor differences. I’ve noticed some strange workings of the box model between IE 6 (pc) and pretty much everything else, but the good news is both ways look and funtion well. It’s just one of the nav schemes looks like buttons in IE 6 and looks like links everwhere else.
I’m hoping they will both come out nice through usability. I imagine based on the tests and feedback so far, they’re fine. It’s been fun to work out all the CSS and XHTML challenges on these sites — we’re really taking our sites down at the hospital quite aways forward. We’re not going 100% tableless, but the vast majority will be, at times it just didn’t make sense yet, for a number of reasons.
Anyway - things are coming together. We’ve got a quick-loading, fairly graphical — compared to what we have now, but with less “graphics” (an oxymoron?) — valid XTHML, semantically marked-up, usable, nice looking, well written, cleverly architected site brewing. It’s not all the way there, but it’s leaps and bounds ahead of what we started with.
I’m also hoping to get an external IP for this stuff and the go-ahead to post a link, maybe give y’all a little preview of some of the stuff I’ve been working on.
