While we’re on her book, I’ll point you to a great post from Christina about designing with your “gut”. I can’t agree with her more, that is why I suggest that designers and developers make an effort to get involved with the usability process whenever possible.

Read the comments as well, I really like what Jared Spool had to say about having to unlearn design and usability falsehoods. If only we could have the decision makers, managers and clients go though the same process.
