I thought about that today as I spent most of my afternoon playing Mechassault online. What fun that is. On a normal day I’d feel a bit guilty, but it is a holiday, the girlfriend is at work and the weather is not all that nice so, what the heck, I decided to blow stuff up.
In any case I’ve often been asked which I think is better, XBOX or PS2. It’s a hard one. I decided to pick XBOX for a few reasons. From what I’ve seen the graphics are generally better, I know people who work at MS (cheap games) and I’d read all about how the XBOX was going to be quite a bit better in the online arena. Well, I had to wait and see on that one, but I can tell you that it really does live up to what people had been saying. XBOX live is great, it’s pretty cheap and really easy to set up. Couple that with the fact that the XBOX has a hard drive (no memory cards here folks) and you get quite a bit of extra playability out of your games.
You can download mods, maps, updates, premium content and things of that sort via the XBOX live service. So far as I can tell it’s all really easy. I’m not a huge gamer or anything, but I’m pretty impressed so far. I’ve never been able to get my PC hooked up online and I’m not even going to try with the PowerBook — the XBOX hook up was really easy. I can’t wait to play Madden or something with my buddies clear across the country.
Don’t worry, I’m not addicted to it.

I myself am going to be buying an XBox soon, and probably the main reason I will be doing so, is because of the Live service. They have all sports games on the Live service, and PS2 only has a few total on it. Plus, I actually do trust Microsoft, believe it or not, to put out good games. Microsoft say its to be used with other downloadable content but you may not have access to these cards to use in the first

Most people just wanna play other people not PAY for other downloads after they have PAYED already!
Microsoft should allow all OLD and NEW xbox live kits to logon and work with “Valid Subscription codes” without any Credit or
Debit card details,or have it as an option!!……
In my view Microsoft should provied “Valid Subscrition code” owners with free Xbox live Subscrition TopUp cards based on
their original Subscritions Codes!!, or “give out free Xbox Live MAJOR Credit Cards!!!!”
What a waste of money time and effort

I can’t see why they dont just give you a pay as you go top up option, for your online account…like a mobile phone company does for pay as you go phones.
if you wanna download something to your xbox you can top up your account with a credit card or valid top up code.
If mobile phone company’s all over the world can do it that way why cant billionare bill? the prick!

Maybe Microsoft could start delivering the machines in greece now with the adsl lines. This problem may occur in some other countries too, so something should be done.
