ESPN Motion.

ESPN has redesigned their homepage and added a new feature titled “ESPN Motion” which calls itself “Half Television, Half Internet.” So far I like it. It’s very Flash heavy, but I think they’ve done a really nice job of integrating the more advanced features with the more mundane. I can use the site much like I always have and they’ve added some new features that while I admit I haven’t used yet, I’m sure I’ll grow to love.
I think this is a good example of “more is more.” There aren’t any standards here and they’ve decided to push the envelope and I think not only does it work, it works very well. They obviously know their target audience and went after them lock, stock and barrel with out, as far as I can tell, any real downside.

What software did they use to develop the motion software that needs to be loaded? or better yet how does it work? i understand it’s flash heavy, but does it require other sever software? because it doesn’t buffer, just plays.
Also movie.com has this motion software on their site. who makes it?
thanks

When I first downloaded espnmotion i thought it was a good idea. But now I can’t stand it! I erase, erase, and erase but you keep popping up. Every time it pops up my system freezes and I have to reboot. This is very annoying and time consuming. I’ve notified espn a number of time and have had no response. Instead of me reporting you to the proper athorities please stop this nagging problem immedietly.

I can’t erase it, either. I HATE IT! It won’t shutup. Look, I have ESPN on television. If I want to hear it, then let me select to turn it on. Don’t just start striking up a conversation and video when all I want is to read an article or look up a score. Do you like people reading over your shoulder while reading the newspaper? No. Semi-similarly, I don’t like ESPN Motion breaking in all the time.
