Cingular Wireless Redesign

Cingular Wireless has gone to an XHTML based and mostly tabless design.
At first glance, it looks pretty nice, although takes a really long time to load. It’s always interesting when a big commercial site goes all forward thinking on us. Good for them. Although it seems like they still have many issues to address, this could be a step in the right direction.
An overview of the good and bad, and some interesting commentary over at Stop Design. He’s a Cingular customer and actually has to use this site.
I’ve had my own issues with Sprint’s site, and Claire. I think wireless customer service (and experience) in general, Web sites or no, is pretty poor. My issues with Sprint are nothing compared to my issues with ATT Wireless. Can’t get started or I’ll go on forever.

Holy poop, that site does take forever to load. But once it does finally load, it generally looks and works great. Cheers to Cingular.
My provider, Verizon Wireless, has a website that is extremely unfriendly, although I have to admit, their phone support and reception quality have been pretty decent. I’m still hoping that they’re working on a redesign.

I went from Sprint PCS, which I found I was at least able to use for the most part, to ATT Wireless, which I never even touch. And Claire… ugh…
