Bowman's Process

Last week I talked about Doug Bowman’s entry to the CSS Zen Garden. Well this week he’s given us a glimpse into his design process, with Golden Mean being used as an example.
I found his process very interesting and very similar to my own. I tend to do things in much to the same way, with a little more eyeball (gut feeling) and a little less study.
It’s nice to see someone else who uses sketching and thumbnail comps. I’m sure they are widely used, but it’s been a while since I’ve seen anyone use them and I sometimes feel like I’m the only one. For me this is a part of the process that is invaluable.
