DKR Productions - Soft Launch

Well, I just put my new DKR Productions site out there. It’s not quite finished, but getting there and well, I wanted to get it out there in the open. Call it a (very) soft launch or working Beta.
Along with the launch I’ll be adding articles and more weekly content to that site, all of which I’ll post links to from here as well. These are mostly quick little Web tips and low level articles, but y’all might find them interesting.
Visit DKR Productions. Feel free to let me know what you think.

from one seattlelite to another…lovely site! very clean, understated, focused, and usable, of course. I like the masthead and the nice touch with the photo within the flash. Good luck with the biz!

good work man, i have come to expect it from you :)
as for suggestions, only 2 things…
1) a portfolio, where is it? :)
2) the text in the logo, it comes off a little bland… i think maybe it needs to be somehow seperated (part of it bold, or something of the like) just a suggestion though

Thanks for the comments. Josh - nothing gets by you! Yeah, the absence of a portfolio is by design. While I do have quite a bit of work that I could show, most of it doesn’t reflect the kind of projects that I would like to take on now.
As I (fingers-crossed) get projects under the auspices of the NEW, IMPROVED DKR Productions I will build out a portfolio going forward.
I realize this might not be the best way to get paying work, but hey I’ll give it a shot and if it doesn’t work I’ll try something new. The beauty of the Web, eh?

Nice work. I really like the way you’ve smoothly integrated Flash content with a strict xhtml layout. Using Flash content as enhancement to clean xhtml/css gets the best of both worlds.

Excellent work, Keith. My only comment is that it would be nice if the logo was linked. A lot of people habitually expect that.

Thanks Jonathan and Joshua.
As far as the logo goes, I know, it was a (rather large) oversite on my part that I’m not sure how to fix yet. That image is a background image so I’m not sure how to link it - maybe a transparent image?
I’ll not get into they whys of why I did that, however I know it’s a bit of a usablity issue and I’m going to address it at some point.
