Tsunami bomb has been described as “girl punk” and compared to bands like The Distillers and The Eyeliners. While I agree on some level with this comparison, they seem to have a bit more in common with bands like Less Than Jake and Dance Hall Crashers. It’s not really a ska element, but just a lighter feel.
This isn’t to say they aren’t “punk” — for the most part they are straight ahead punk with a bit of pop mixed in. In iTunes I have them in with my other pop punk and emo stuff, even if that doesn’t really fit. I would say they are more of a “real” punk band than say, Good Charlotte.
What Tsunami Bomb does have, and lots of it, is energy. Every song seems to reverberate with it. Add to that very well done lyrics, clever arrangements and great vocals from the wonderfully styled Agent M, and you’ve got a mix for some good old fashioned skankin’.
Great band. Great album.
Recommended if you like: The Distillers, Sum 41, Less Than Jake, Dance Hall Crashers, Save Ferris, The Suicide Machines, The Amazombies

As a female lead of a band I know how extremely difficult it is to gain respect in the music industry today…it’s hard to be taken seriously not only for the female, but also for the rest of the band-even if they are all guys.So with that I have a great deal of respect for Tsunami Bomb and any other bands that have had a road block such as this. Tsunami Bomb is the best girl fronted band out there. Plus Mike is extremely hot!!! They are one of the best live shows I have ever seen. They were better when Dominic was in the band, but I give my respect to the new guy. Hes good too.

the amazing voice of agent m is unique and this girl is very hot!
i saw them yesterday with bouncing souls in germany and the show was incredible!
