The Artist: Fanny Pack
The Song: Theme From Fanny Pack
The Album: So Stylistic
Released 2003
It’s been a long week and I’m feeling like I need a bit of a party. Who better to get a party started than three young, hip-hop chicks from Brooklyn? Can’t think of anyone? Neither can I, so lets get down with Fanny Pack!
You may have heard Fanny Pack’s outrageously entertaining and very funny debut single “Cameltoe” — yes it’s about what you think it is — and if you liked that you’ll like the rest of So Stylisitic.
For the most part this is a fun and fairly simple party album, served up old school style. If you love party hip-hop and bands like J.J. Fad, L’Trimm and Salt -n- Peppa you’ll love Fanny Pack. If you’re into new school 80’s stuff like the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Peaches you’ll love Fanny Pack. If you like your rap clever and goofy and your 808 kick drum deep, long and loud you’ll love Fanny Pack.
So Stylistic is one of the better “fun” albums to come out this year. If you like fun, you’ll love Fanny Pack.
Recommended if you like: J.J. Fad, L’Trimm, Salt -n- Peppa, Peaches, Northern State, Beastie Boys, Len

and the best thing i think is: here in the UK, “fanny” is another term for the female genitalia. try going to your local music store and asking for THAT particular record :)

The Fanny pack are great stuff, i don’t particulary like camel toe, but i have been searching for the name of this band for ages after hearing ‘Things’ in a few shops. I also like L’trimm and originally thought that this was them. Good songs, fun and quirky.

I LOVE Fanny Pack. My friend got me into them a few weeks ago and my sister and I ran out and bought the album. They have a techno/hip-hop/pop sound to them that just makes them so irresistable.

Lol, we found this cd on some church’s front steps. Its so 3rd grader that me and my gf were almost crying. It sounds like a bunch of little “ethnic” children about the age of 8 thru 11. Kinda makes ya rethink some of the songs……. I just found it sad that this is considered music. Funny tho
