SXSW and Blogging For Business

I’m very excited to let you all know that I’m going to be speaking on a panel down at 2004 SXSW Interactive Festival this year.

On the Blogging for Business panel I’ll be joined by Phil Wolff (A Klog Apart), Nick Bradbury (creator of Homesite, TopStyle and FeedDemon), DL Byron (creator of the Clip-n-Seal) and Nick Finck (publisher of Digital Web Magazine.)

We’ll discuss some real world business applications for blogs and blog related technology. It should be a very interesting session.

Blogs and blogging technology have really changed the way that I work for the better and I can’t wait to share my own experience as well as hear what the other panelists have to say. Oh and the ensuing discussions should be interesting as well.

My personal blog has opened all sorts of doors for me, has helped me to market my business and myself, served as a knowledge base for lessons learned and all sorts of bits and pieces I’ve picked up since I began it a year and a half ago.

It’s also been a testing ground for much of what I do down at my day job. It’s been an invaluable asset down there and we’re really beginning to see the benefits of blogs and blogging technology bloom in the business sector, not only on our intranet but across the Web as well.

If the panel weren’t enough, I plan on spending the whole week down in Austin, visiting friends and taking in the Music and Film parts of the festival as well. It should be an awesome time and I hope to see many of the folks I’ve connected with online. If you’re going to be down there, make sure to get in touch and let me know!
