A Quick SXSW Progress Report

Well, that’s 2 1/2 down 7 1/2 to go.
So far SXSW has been all that I expected and much more. I like to say “the Web is about people.” The truth in that statement has been proved countless times in the last few days. It’s been really amazing to finally meet in person many people I’ve been talking to virtually for months. So far I’ve had no surprises, as everyone is very close to how I imagined they would be. I’ve also met quite a few new people and had the chance to hang out with some old friends.
Great people. Every single one. I’m hoping to meet many more.
The Blogging for Business panel went very, very well. It was my first time speaking like that and I think I did a pretty good job. I was nervous and hardly slept a wink last night, but in the end it was free and easy. Some very good discussion was had, some great questions were asked and I hope the audience got something out of it. I know I did.
For now I’m back at the room, getting ready for a little nap. Got some interesting panels to attend this afternoon and then there are some fun events planned for tonight. It’ll be the first night so far that I can really cut loose. There are some great panels early tomorrow, but since I’m not on them, I can roll out of the sack a bit late.
That’s it for now. Read Dave’s post if you want a more complete recap of what’s going on down here in Austin. He’s been doing a great job of capturing everything.

Keith, you spoke on the panel like a pro who has been doing this for years. Good job and everyone loved the presentation we gave so I am sure you will be speaking at conferences again in the near future right? :)
