I spent last weekend in San Diego and I absolutely loved it. It’s a beautiful city full of beautiful and friendly people. The sea, the sand, the nightlife — it’s was all amazing. I need to give a shout out to Joe, Johnny and the fam damily — and all my new friends in the OB. I’ll be back soon!

Those are such beautiful shots of a country I have never had a chance to visit. I am from Singapore. WIP in building my own weblog (without any html knowledge, i am a graphic designer by profession). I’ve stuck a bookmark to your site and will use it as a guideline for my own weblog. I am also curious as to what camera you used for these shots. Very very nice indeed.

Thanks a lot Lysha! The camera I use is a Nikon Coolpix 4300 and it’s been a really great camera for me so far. I’m still just learning photography and got my first “real” camera just about two years ago.
Before that is was all disposable!
I am very interested in photography, especially for the Web. I actually have a post on that subject in the works.
Good luck with your Weblog.

Nice pics. I was down in San Diego this past weekend too, Keith. If only we had known…
I went to school down there, and lived/worked there for a few years after school, so lots of good friends still live there. Damn, San Diego was hot while we were there, which is not typical of their paradise-like weather. Saturday was much worse for us though, as we drove up to the desert for Coachella, where we encountered 100+ degree temps, and rules that you couldn’t bring in your own water.

San Diego is the greatest! I just bought a home in Oceanside, which is just north of San Diego. The weather here is awesome. I’ve never once used the heater, and I don’t have air conditioning, and I still remain comfortable year round (except for those few days when it gets weirdly hot, like last week)!
Did you have a chance to visit Balboa Park when you were here? You could spend a whole week photographing the wonderful things there. I posted a photo from the Japanese Friendship Garden (in Balboa Park) a short while ago. I’ll get a few more of the shots from that visit up in the next few weeks.
Keep up the photography!

Hey thanks for all the nice words! Makes me want to get out and take more pictures!
Tom – I didn’t get up to the park, even though I was staying pretty close by. I spent quite a bit of time at the beaches and downtown. Next time I’d like to get up to the park and see some stuff I didn’t get to see this time.
Nice thing is that it was pretty cheap to get down there for a weekend.

I have some friends that go to school near San Diego. I haven’t heard from them in awhile, but I do remember them bitching in Feburary when it was ONLY 80 degrees… bitches.

Man, I wish I lived in San Diego. I’d go to Ocean Beach in the summer and say hi to all the locals, I’d chill on the bluffs of Sunset Cliffs and watch golden sunsets, I’d surf the reefs of La Jolla…shoot, I’d spend time sipping cocktails at one of those fancy places off of Prospect, I’d go to Tijuana, get drunk and party until 6 in the morning, I’d go to the top of the Hyatt in downtown…man, I wish I lived in San Diego…I’ve heard that place is awesome…
