Summer in Seattle

Summary: Some photos of Seattle in Summer.

Summer is beautiful in Seattle and this year’s been no exception. It seems likes it’s over a bit early this year, as it usually lasts until early October but it’s been a bit cloudy the last few weeks, but other than that it’s been a good one.
Here are a few of the photos I took over the last few months around my beautiful city of Seattle. There would have been lots more but I spent much of the summer out of town and on the road. I really wish I could have spent more time here. As much as I love to travel, it’s so nice here in summertime. I don’t think these few shots do it any kind of justice, but enjoy them regardless and if you ever get a chance, take advantage of our great summers here in the Pacific Northwest.

Very nice shots. I’m taking a bunch while I’m here in Seattle for the week on a road trip vacation. Your right, it is a beautiful city. The clouds are the best, always a pleasure to look at. Once again, awesome photographs you’ve taken there.

Beautiful pictures Keith. Just out of curiosity, what camera did you use for taking those?

The third picture down looks like you have been doing a bit of Photoshop manipulation ;o)… what on earth is it?

I miss Seattle so much! Haven’t lived there in 15 years, but feels like yesterday. Such a beautiful place - even when it rains (but i like that kind of weather). Trying to get my wife to take a trip up there to see how beautiful it really is…one of these days.
thanks for the pics.

Sigh, and now we have 100% chance of rain today. Here’s hoping for an Indian Summer.

I’ll have to agree with you Keith. I’ve been to Seattle twice, both times in the summer, and it was absolutely beautiful. One thing I really enjoyed was the sun going down so late, giving even more time to enjoy the city. And living in Tucson, having a “heat wave” of temps in the upper 80s was like heaven. We’re still hitting 100° here…

Ah, such great memories and wonderful moments captured. I grew up in Seattle dog years ago and this helps to bring that back.

Thanks y’all. Really I wish I had more to show. As was noted in the alt text (maybe I should add a caption to these?) the 3rd one is an art installation. There are just a bunch of those metal slats sticking up from the ground. Pretty cool stuff.
As far as the camera I use, it’s a Nikon Coolpix 4300. Not a bad deal and it does take good photos.

Nice pictures. I really like the last one. And yes, the summer is over way too soon here in Seattle. Now, I start school in a couple of weeks and the weather turns south for the winter. If only it could say nice for a little longer.

Seattle is the best place ever. This place is not dirty, run down or scary. The people here are all granola bars and kayaking, hiking, biking and fishing are second nature to seattlites. Come here in the summer and autumn and it’s breathless! Everyone is soaking up the outdoors, nature and beauty that the malls are empty! The sun goes down so late in seattle in the summer. This lets you enjoy the always gorageous sunsets by the lakes. Wow, I can’t wait until summer again when I can hang out by the lake taking photos until 9:30 and still be light! If you haven’t been here, you need to see this place. The green, the foliage, the shops, the food, the places and sights. It’s truly one of a kind. The coast here is amazing I hear. If you are a photographer or outdoorsy, this is the place for you!

I love all your pictures…they are very good. I love Seattle so much. I visited there this past summer for the first time in my life and fell in love with it. Im back in Southern Ca and it’s just not the same here. I feel sad whenever I look at pictures of Seattle because I wish I was still there.
People are so friendly there!
