Fantasy Football Champion

So, I know it’s geeky, but I’ve got to toot my own horn a bit here. After 17 weeks of crap from Andrei and Scrivs (and yeah I’m just linking you to rub it in, how’s that for smack?), a really tight game with Mike, a few QB controversies and countless other twist and turns, I’m proud to tell all of you (most of which could give a rat’s) that the little respected Kiss My Asterisk is the CHAMP of the IKNFFL.

The final game was easier than I’d thought, especially if you consider my best player, LT, was out. I played against the surprising Mike Papageorge who put up a decent fight, had a great season, and ultimately just fell short.

Anyway, it was a ton of fun, I’m really glad we did it and here’s to another season. To all the other owners in the IKNFFL: see you at my victory party at SXSW. ;)

I can’t believe my rotten luck in the final, however: two players with 0?? And one played!!

Anyway, as I won’t be at SXSW, I’ll have to buy a round with Paypal or something… Congrats!

It was a lot of fun playing in the league. Probably the first season in quite a while that I have actually paid much attention to the NFL (outside of watching a few Packers games). My wife thought I had gone crazy because I had NEVER watched NFL football. I have always been more of a college fan.

Anyway, congrats and yes, we must do an IKNFFL get-together at SXSW this year. Here’s to next season.

Congratulations! I don’t think I’ve ever been in a league that played it’s championship game in the final regular-season week. We’ve typically cut it off a week early to try and avoid the final game “resting” phenomenon.

Of course, my season ended about 3 weeks ago - didn’t make the playoffs (the year after winning the championship). I’m already looking forward to next year.
