CSS, Zen and Zen Masters

This last week was a busy fun one for Digital Web. Not only are we publishing a review of the eagerly anticipated The Zen of CSS Design but we are also publishing very good interviews with the authors; Dave and Molly.
The editorial staff of Digital Web has been looking forward to this one for quite awhile, and there was quite a bit of work done at the last minute to get it up on time. Here is a hearty “THANK YOU” to everyone behind the scenes.
I’ve not read the book myself, but I’m excited about it. Being a Web professional is all about having balance, yin and yang, Zen and all that, so knowing the authors a bit, and given the nature of the medium, I expect this book not only to be useful, but full of spirit. Can’t wait to add it to the reading list.

I just ordered Zeldman’s and Cederholm’s books at Amazon, and there was that third pick waiting for another chance, ‘The Zen of CSS Design : Visual Enlightenment for the Web’ .. maybe I should have read the reviews before buying .. but definately, it is there in my wishlist.

Dammit I wish I could afford to spend money on coffee-table-books.

“The perfect coffee-table book?” That pull-quote from the article is a little misleading. Sure, it’s a beautifully produced book with full color plates of each of the featured designs but it’s more of a “read cover-to-cover and then keep within arms reach of your desk” reference than a coffee-table book.

I am looking forward to your review of the book and will be placing my order soon, I heard that there was a little delay with the distribution of the book.
