We’ve boiled the Web 2.0 Drinking Game down to one rule.
The rule is simple. Anytime you hear someone say ‘Web 2.0” you have to drink.
Now, realize you don’t have to play all the time. However, the Blue Flavor guys and I decided that it might be fun to play at SXSW. Say at this years award ceremonies? Or, how about any time after 4:30??
Who’s in?
(Oh yeah, and this doesn’t mean you should find one of us after 4:30 and start following us around saying “Web 2.0” over and over.)

I’m always down for some good ol’ fashioned drinking games, couldn’t think of a better way to break the ice.

I’m definitely in. I have a feeling none of us will be leaving the Web Awards ceremony standing up.

It’s a good idea, but you realise you’ll be drunk within about 20 minutes of arriving—and that’s without somebody intentionally throwing you off.

I don’t know if the blue lightweights want me to play, but if you’ll have me you know I’m in. Although you know my game starts at 12:00pm.

I’m in and expect to be sauced in no more than 30 minutes.

If this game is similar to the drinking game we played last year, where we would drink whenever anybody looked at us or had a camera, then I’m down!!!

That’s probably almost as fast as the Manowar drinking game - listen to Manowar and drink everytime they say sword, dragon or any other fantasy related word (we havent yet succeded in keeping up with the tempo for long ;)).

How could I possibly refuse? What better way to meet you crazy bunch of mofos but when everyone is completely tanked off their ass.

Hell, I’ve been playing this game since I was 15. Only for me I drink everytime I hear, say or think the word “the.” If I happen to make it out there this year I’m down. I’ve wanted to put Scrivs in his place when it comes to drinking since I was…18 of legal drinking age.
Scrivs:
I don’t know if the blue lightweights want me to play, but if you’ll have me you know I’m in. Although you know my game starts at 12:00pm.
Getting a late start? Speaking of which do you know how hard it is to find a restraunt serving breakfast and beer at the same time? Thank god for McDonalds and the gas station.

So, Keith – If we’re drinking at 4:30, what are we going to do at 4:20?
Disclaimer: I’m a non-smoker, I just couldn’t resist. :)

Oh, I am SO totally following you around saying “Web 2.0” over and over.

Yah, okay, but you better be getting your drink recipes off of http://www.extratasty.com/ or maybe a rule that for every time someone says “community contributed” they have to submit a drink, and then drink it, or something.

Ha! I’m so totally game.
By the way, Keith et al, make sure to come to my panel then. :-)

Anyone know where I can get some insurance?

That’s great… Is there anything better than a room full of drunk nerds? Web 2.0, now drink!

Sure… Drunk Nerds + Benny Hill theme = Hillarity. Everything is funnier with the Benny Hill theme.
